About Our Services

We work throughout central and southern England on projects ranging from small urban gardens to large rural estates. Our services cover everything from initial design through to ongoing maintenance.

Most projects begin with a site visit where we can see the space, understand what you're hoping to achieve, and discuss whether we're a good fit for the work. This initial consultation helps us provide accurate advice and realistic cost estimates.

Finding Us

Our office is located in Chipping Norton, a market town in the Cotswolds. We're on the High Street, opposite the town hall, with parking available in the public car park two minutes walk away.

If you're coming by train, the nearest station is Kingham, about seven miles away. Local buses connect Chipping Norton with Oxford, Banbury, and surrounding villages.

Please arrange an appointment before visiting as we're often out on sites during the day.

What to Include in Your Message

It helps if you can tell us:

  • Your location and approximate garden size
  • What type of work you're considering (design, planting, maintenance, etc.)
  • Any particular challenges or features of your site
  • Your rough timescale
  • Whether you have an existing design or are starting from scratch

Don't worry if you're not sure about all the details yet. We can discuss options once we know the basics.

Frequently Asked Questions

It varies depending on our current workload and the time of year. Design work can usually begin within a few weeks. Implementation often needs to wait for appropriate planting conditions, which means autumn or spring for most projects. Emergency work like fallen trees can be scheduled more quickly.

For projects within our normal service area, the initial site visit and discussion is complimentary. If you're further afield or need detailed written advice at this stage, we may charge a consultation fee which we'll discuss upfront.

That's perfectly normal. Many clients contact us with a general sense that their garden isn't working but aren't sure what to do about it. The initial consultation helps clarify options and priorities. We're not pushy about committing to work immediately.

Yes, we can put you in touch with clients who've agreed to act as references. We respect privacy so don't share contact details without permission, but we're happy to facilitate conversations with people who've experienced our work firsthand.

Winter is an excellent time for design work, planning, and certain maintenance tasks like deciduous tree pruning. We avoid planting or heavy soil work when ground is frozen or waterlogged, but there's plenty we can do year-round.

If you have them, site plans, photos of the garden through different seasons, and notes about problem areas are useful. But don't worry if you don't have these; we'll gather what we need during the visit. Just think about how you'd ideally like to use the space.

Yes, we offer consultation services for people who want expert input on specific issues without commissioning full design or maintenance work. This can be useful if you're largely managing the garden yourself but need specialist knowledge on certain aspects.
